What I learned during this project.

In the past, I thought only factories smoke cause the global warming. But after this project I have learned that there are many different causes for Global Warming such as volcanoes, forest fires and burning waste. In addition, I have learned many new effects of Global Warming such as hurricanes, floods, drought and acid rain. On the other hand, I have learned in this project how to create a new blog and I think it's a good way to publish what do want for other users to read easily. Because of that I had decided to create my own blog in the summer holiday and put many things about me and my interests on it.

Individual action

I think there are many important things we can do to reduce the pollution in the United Arab Emirates and make our environment much healthier. Now I'm going to write about these steps briefly. First of all, I think using hitachi trains for transports as Dubai city will do in the future will be a good idea because it will reduce the amount of CO2 in the air instead of using many cars and buses which cause a lot of smoke. Secondly I think the UAE government should put some rules for the factories to make the environment clean as possible as they can. Finally I think the UAE government should prohibit smoking cigarettes and shisha in the public places, because this will really help as to reduce the pollution in the air.

UAE and Global Warming

Yesterday, I read in an article called tapping the sun to power UAE homes its talks about Swedish company called "switch power" interested in using sun energy inside houses for some gulf countries such as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. I think it will be really useful because it will reduce the amount of gases which comes out from air conditions, refrigerators and other machines. Mr. Andersson the Middle East senior adviser for "Switch power" based in the UAE said that they use the sun power in many different places in Sweden such as football stadiums and homes with a little sun there. After sunset they will use an accumulator tank when the power producing stops at night.

Effects of Global Warming

There are many causes of global warming. Now I'm going to write about each one briefly.

Melting ice caps/rising sea levels: when the temperature rise up the ice caps in the North Pole start to melt which make the sea levels rise up rapidly in the whole world.

Heat waves: it means the huge regions covered by hot temperature and humidity because of imbalance in the earth work.

Hurricanes: is a big storm of winds moving in a high speed and destroy every thing in front of it.

Floods: it's an overflowing of water levels usually happen because of sea levels increase in the low areas and causes a lot of damages.

Drought: it means an area with a lack of water, planets and animals and it's a result of high temperature.

More cases of skin cancer: because ozone layer hole gets bigger day after day the ultraviolet rays get much stronger and cause the skin cancer when exposed to it for a long time.

Fewer species of animals and plants: when temperature get increase rapidly that make ice caps melt suddenly and that cause a lot of troubles for some animals live there such as polar bear, seals and penguins. On the other hand these changes on weather make it difficult for the animals and plants to adjust with the new climate.


Acid rain: its rain contain harmful pollutants, which it's a result of air pollution and smokes.


Fewer species of animals and planets

It is a very serious problem threatens the whole world caused by global warming phenomenon. Because there are many important relationships between humans, animals and plants, if one of them effected negatively the others sure will effect negatively too. Nowadays there are many animals at risk in different places in the world such as polar bears, seals and penguins in the North Pole, because the ice caps starting to melting rapidly and that cause a lot of troubles for them. In addition the changing in weather put many plants and animals on dangerous situation because they can't adjust with the new climate in a short time.

Causes of Global Warming

There are many causes of global warming. Now I'm going to write about each one briefly.

Smoke from factories: it's an important cause of global warming because it produces many different types of harmful gases which helps to increase the temperature of the earth rapidly.

CO2 from cars: another cause of global warming specially in the crowded cities and it's polluting our environment.

Volcanoes: a natural cause of global warming which Emerge a lot of harmful gases from heart of earth into outside.

Burning waste: its produce a lot of harmful gases because of burning many different materials such as papers and plastic, which helps to increase earth temperature.

Forest fires: it causes a lot of smoke which contain the CO2 and it's usually happened because of people carelessness.

Deforestation: its increase the amount of CO2 because as we know the trees takes the harmful CO2 and provide as with O2 which it's important for the humans.

Rich countries only consider the economy: they build many factories and burning waste and don’t care for the pollution issue because all what they want is earning money.

Cigarettes smoke: a lot of people all over the world smoke more than one cigarettes every day which cause a lot of harmful gases and pollute the environment.

Nowadays the whole world suffer from the rich countries policies such as United State, because all what they think about is how to earn money with out concerning about the pollution which comes from the factories and the other economical activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation and burning waste. On the other hand, the nuclear weapons Experiments which produce a lot of poison gases in enormous areas on the world. In addition they cut a lot of forests trees for industrial matters and that really cause a lot changes on the climate and the temperature. There are many efforts from the United Nation to make reach countries more careful on this issue because it will effect all the countries all over the in the future.
